Local groups

This section and associated pages aims to publicise other local family and local history groups in the Leamington area and will give details of their forthcoming meetings and talks.  Many groups have their own pages within this section as well as this one so do check the dropdown menu.

Family History Groups

Warwick Family History Group

meets at Warwick Record Office one Friday a month from 10.30am to 12.15pm and usually consists of a talk followed by coffee/biscuits.

Leamington Library Family History Group

meets at Leamington Library on the third Thursday of the month from 11 am to 12.30 pm.

University of the Third Age Family History Group

meets at St James Church Stivichall Coventry on the third Tuesday of the month.

There is also a U3A local history group in Coventry.

Birmingham and Midland Society for Genealogy and Heraldry – Kenilworth branch

meets on the second Wednesday of the month (but not August) at 7.30pm at the Senior Citizens’s Club, Abbey End, Kenilworth, CV8 1QJ

Family history groups in Solihull

– there are Irish and Caribbean family history groups which meet at Solihull library among them:

Local History Groups

Leamington History Group

meets on Mondays at 7.30pm at the Dormer Conference Centre in Leamington Spa (next to St Peter’s Church in Dormer Place)

Sydenham History Group

mostly meets on Tuesday evenings at 7.30 pm in the SYDNI centre

Warwickshire Industrial Archaeology Society

meets on the second Thursday of the month in the Pyne Room at Warwick School at 7.30pm.

Lillington Local History Society

meets at 4pm on the first Friday of the month
